Brandon’s fitness journey began the day he picked up his first fitness magazine. Even though he was on a championship baseball team he gave it up to follow his real dream of being the best natural bodybuilder/fitness model in the world. At age 16, Brandon started reading every piece of literature he could get his hands on in regards to weight training, nutrition and supplementation. Staying up till 1, 2, even 3 in the morning was normal for him as he gradually built his knowledge base of the fitness industry. Brandon increased his knowledge base by consulting with other professionals in the fitness industry. After gaining substantial knowledge, Brandon was ready to apply it to his own regimen and step on the bodybuilding stage at age 18.

Brandon didn’t win the show, but learned the valuable lesson of perseverance; steady persistence in the pursuit of fitness. After his first show, Brandon decided he wanted to do this full time. He fell in love with the sport instantly. After countless bodybuilding shows, sponsorships, signing with the Wilhelmina modeling agency, overseas trips, magazine covers, and national certifications; Brandon still remembers his journey as the bright eyed kid with a dream, working out in his bedroom without a sense of direction, yet knowing this is what he was meant to do.

As an online trainer and personal trainer, Brandon is able to share his passion and knowledge of fitness and the art of healthy living with others. Brandon runs his own successful independent personal training business in New York City and is available upon request. Look for Brandon on future magazine covers and fitness campaigns as he continues his exciting journey as a natural bodybuilder/fitness model. Always remember, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish!
The best is yet to come….

Can I have some workout advice?

Posted on January 29th, 2012 by admin in best online personal trainer | 1 Comment »

I’m a 28 year old woman. I weigh 210 pounds. I’m 5’4. I just had my second baby 3 months ago and am still breastfeeding. My target areas are my upper arms and my belly. I have a nice hourglass shape and everything is proportionate. Big chest, thinner waist, bigger butt and thighs. That’s just some opening info.

My question is about how I should be working out. I know my way vaguely around a gym. I’ve worked out before. But I guess I’m still what you call a beginner.

My biggest issue is that I don’t want to "bulk up" with muscle. I want to lose weight. At least till I’m at a reasonable weight and size. Then I might be interested in toning. All around I guess I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing. Or even what I’m asking here. I guess I’m worried that I will work out too hard and just turn into a female body builder. I’m shooting for a slim body, not a muscular one. But I want to burn this fat and fast! But is it possible to work out too much?

I have the energy to work out a lot. Maybe even twice a day, like an hour a day. I have had only mild soreness each morning, nothing that would stop me. So far I’ve just been doing it once a day, about an hour. I do a small bit of stretching. Just a few stretches of my legs and arms. I get on the eliptical trainer for 30 minutes. I move at a pace that gets me breathing hard and sweating a bit. The machine usually reads my heart rate to be in the cardiovascular workout zone. After that I use a few of the weight machines that target areas I’m most concerned with (abs and arms). I just do a few sets, enough to "feel the burn" but not to injure myself. Then I’m done.

I plan to switch up when I get bored. I can swim at my gym. I enjoy swimming and used to be on a swim team. I also have a Wii and I have the Wii Active fit personal trainer program. So I have a lot of resources available to me.

I’ve been watching what I eat, however, with me breastfeeding I have to "eat for two" or 300 extra calories a day. I have to eat to have a good milk supply and I’m hungry more because of it. Dieting is really a struggle for me, I’m an italian and I love to cook. But I’m doing my best to stay away from fried, fast, sugary foods. I honestly think that’s as good as I get with that. I’m awesome at getting in fruits, veggies and dairy. I love all food, I don’t discriminate. LOL! But any suggestions there would be accepted.

I’m looking for sound advice here from either trainers or people that are very fit. I looked online for any information but it all seemed very generic and not what I was looking for. I’m hoping to get some answers this way. Thanks ahead to anyone who replies!!! icon smile Can I have some workout advice?

EXCECISE PLAN

10 situps
10 V-ups (Touch your hands to your toes, but crunch your body so that they meet midway in the air)
10 lemon squeezers (Position yourself sitting up, put hands at side, and move your torso back into a laying position while extending your legs straight ahead. Now just row your legs to a bend while crunching toward them w/ your torso, then go back to laying position. repeat process)
10 back hypers (lay on stomach, basically a reverse cruncher)
10 Leg lifts (Lay on back, lift straight legs to 45 degree angle, then bring back to ground)
30 seconds of bicycles (Lay on ground, and mimick a bicycle pedal motion w/ your legs)
10 side crunchers each side
10 regular crunchers
30 seconds of flutter kicks (Lay on back, keep both legs straight. Lift them up bairly, now alternate between raising each leg a little bit and brining it back down. This one is tought at first, but after a week it will be easy. Try to think of being a swimmer while doing this one)
10 kick ups (Lay down, bring knees up toward chest, then kick legs upward to become straight in the air.)
10 side double leg lifts (Hard to explain, basically lay on side, and lift both legs simultaneously as high as you can. Will feel weird at first)
10 Scissor Kicks (Lay on back, spread leags apart in air, bring them back to center with one leg above the other, then alternate to mimick a scissor kicking action)
Finish with a bridge for however long you think you can do it.

Once this routine becomes easy, don’t up the reps, just do the whole routine twice. I have sick abs and this is basically what I do (Left a few out for explanation’s sake)

Then also do your run at night. Cut excessive fat out of your diet, but you can have a little still.

Do it and you will have some abs.

MOST EFFECTIVE IS Squats and lunges
3 sets of 15 each every day.

Becoming a nutritionist- kind of a long question…?

Posted on January 29th, 2012 by admin in online personal trainer courses | 2 Comments »

I took some college courses to get my Associates but never finished due to marriage and a child. Now I want to go back to school (online) in order to become a nutritionist and eventually a personal trainer.
What steps should I take- most degrees that are offered at online schools are strictly for bachelors degrees in nutrition.

-Do I need to finish getting my associates then pursue my goal of becoming a nutritionist?

my suggestion would be to contact the schools and see if they will give you credit for the parts you’ve already done. You can also ask them what they suggest. Also contact a few nutritionists either in your area or out of your area and ask their opinion, it will also help in networking and maybe lead to a job when you finish your degree.
good luck!

im low on money ever since i lost my job.i tried to save money to go to school to become a certified personal trainer but i spent just about all of it on bills and food.i enjoy exercising/working out and would like to help others to reach there fitness goals

my question is what is the best cheap way to become a personal trainer and achieve a certificate that actually means something and is not just a garbage certification?

is there an online study guide that can help prepare me to take an exam (i don’t mind if i have to pay for the exam) and what exam should i go for ?

thanks everyone

Becoming a Personal Fitness Trainer can be very profitable. You goal is to keep your clients from getting bored with their exercise program. Your job would be to motivate them to continue their training.if u want more info then contact with us at pete.hayden.gymrat@facebook.com.

Good ideas for budget workouts?

Posted on January 29th, 2012 by admin in free online personal trainer | 1 Comment »

I’m a 23 year old chick and its time to drop some weight/tone up! I’m only 5’2 but I weigh 103lbs..I’d like to ultimately get down between 85 and 90, but life’s been so hectic. A guy I work with currently won’t stop hounding me about my weight, saying how his gf is perfect because shes 21 yrs old, 80 pounds (shops in the kids section) with triple D’s. It’s constant, and I’m tired of getting put down for my laziness icon sad Good ideas for budget workouts? …… I’m in the process of moving to a small studio apartment in the city, where I will rely on mainly walking for transportation (so that’s a plus.) However, I feel hopeless when I look up workout/weight loss tips online and all the tips/tricks/plans cost money! With the recent influx of bills, I can’t afford a gym membership, all organic foods, personal trainer..sh*t, I can’t even afford weights, a bicycle or one of those big bouncy balls! I don’t want to be flabby and unhealthy, but can anyone give me some advice or tips on FREE workouts (besides the obvious "go for a jog") things that will help not only drop weight but tone up my disguisting flab as well?

I went to the store and just spent ten bucks to get two work out dvds, I do them every other day and I’m losing a lot of weight this way.

Don’t spend extra money on organic food if money is tight, just watch your portions and try to eat fresh food.

I think your a good weight for your height, 80 pounds is extremely tiny and makes me kinda sick to my stomach to think of someone that skinny. It sounds so unhealthy and gross. Curves are your friend icon wink Good ideas for budget workouts? I could be perfectly thin but with no boobs or butt I wouldn’t feel like a woman.

Is there such a thing as an online personal trainer. If so where.?

Any help appreciated.

My sister did a programme called e-diets which helped her a lot, they are not personal trainers but they offer tailored diet and workout advice.

good luck:)
